What an evening we had at our Christmas Party. We had great weather and a great turnout. It's always an opportunity to chat with people you might have missed at other events. Everyone mixed and sipped wine during the social hour. Then on with the dinner.
As usual, Keith and the team at the Roosteraunt did a excellent job on the meal. We started with a Christmas decorated salad that tasted as good as it looked. The prime rib meal was superb and everyone got their meal as they liked it. Then desert was a selection of Cheesecakes that were to die for! (Of course I am partial to Cheesecake.)
After dinner we presented the Camp Quality donations to Glen and Pam Mooney. They were our guests for the evening. It was a pleasure to be able to support the work they do for the children. Then we had teams doing some car related quizzes with the ladies pitted against the gents. It was a tumultuous game with lots of participation from the onlookers, and I really can't remember who won! But I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Then we went on to the raffle prizes with most of us walking out with a Poinsettia or the door prize.
So after a relaxing and enjoyable evening everyone headed home with safe roads to drive on. Thanks to Christine, Irene, Jim, and Sharlene for their help; and our photographers Wilf and John. And thanks to Marlene who did the majority of the organizing! And of course, thanks to the members who participated, without them there would be no party.
